This is my F-100D Super Sabre
model. I used the old Monogram's Thunderbirds Sabre as the base model.
Markings
My intention was to build a
Vietnam war veteran aircraft, so I picked up some spare decals and painted
the model with the South East Asia camo pattern. The SM letters of the tail
was made by a friend and fit the model well.

Opened Hatches
I
opened some hatches of the plane and I installed some pipes and
wires inside it. The covers were done by aluminum from Coke cans and placed on
the plane wing, to simulate in-progress repair work.

Gun Bay
One cannon hatch was opened
too, revealing the cannon barrel.
Fuel Tanks
I painted one of the underwing
fuel tanks silver. My objective was to simulate a tank originally from a silver
F-100 still not painted with the SEA cammo scheme.
