1/48 Monogram PBY-5

This 1/48 PBY-5 was built straight out of the box, except for the decals.  Details were picked out on the instrument panels with white Prisma Pencil and Glosscote was carefully applied over  the instrument dials to give them that glass look.

The interior was weathered with washes, pastels, and drybrushing.  The exterior had some pastels applied to simulate the exhaust stains and some paint chipping was also applied.

The canopies were coated with Future.  The entire exterior of the aircraft was also coated in Future in preparation for the Aeromaster decals.  Decal sheet # 48-235  which is for the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville was used to finish off the model.
