  Canada Day 2005

This is my 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk Vb finished in the markings of  the  403th (Canadian ) Squadron in Manston .  “BM 344 KH-P  Phyl Marie” is flown by squadron leader Syd  Ford during August of 1942.

I've added some after market beauties to improve my Mk Vb.  As usual I've used Eduard RAF seat belts in the cockpit.  And I also replaced the exhausts with the Ultracast Spitfire Mk V resin exhaust set.

The well known RAF paint scheme ( ocean grey + dark green over medium sea grey)  was done with the Gunze Sangyo and Tamiya acrylics.

I used  Aeromaster decal sheet  #48 682 “After the Battle pt 2” to finish  the model as “Phyl Marie”.
