This is my An-74 of the Aeroflot polar fleet. Toko kit (currently the kit is in Eastern Express production) provides a very good opportunity to make a nicely detailed An-74 but the surface quality is not good (plus the fact that panel lines are raised) and many parts don't fit well. I rescribed the panel lines, added many details in the cockpit and cargo bay and also the details of the open engine are scratchbuilt.

I used Model Master and Humbrol colors.  Clear varnish is Model Master, airbrushed and sandpapered (with water) using high density sandpaper (2000) and then polished using toothpaste and a small cloth to get the gloss surface.

The decals are from the kit and I also had to create many decals using Inkscape vector editor (www.inkscape.org) and LaTeX typographic system.  The produced postscript file was printed on a Propagteam clear decal sheet using a laser printer.
