- 236 black and white photos
- 88 color photos
- 9 sideview
colour profiles with text describing each profile
The photos and images are clearly
printed on glossy paper in a very organized book. Many of these photos
show the planes in their hardened and non-hardened shelters undergoing maintenance
as well as having weapons loaded or unloaded. It also details all the big
and small events involving the aircraft including aerial victories including a
list of each victory with plane #, plane type shot down, Israeli pilot name and
date of the event. There are photos of an F-16 that landed with a nose
gear that didn't deploy. There are photos of US pilots delivering the
planes and being greeted by the Israeli crews. Photos of various pilots
returning from special missions....first solo, aerial victory and a variety of
ceremonies. Photos showing the planes fully loaded just before they
departed for the successful bombing of the Iraqi nuclear reactor reactor on July
4 1981 during Operation Opera that involved 8 F-16's.
This is a very put
together book. It is not a walkaround book aimed at scale modellers
looking for detail photos for their latest super detailing project, but this
book does contain some photos showing open access panels etc, but that is not
the focus of this book. If you have an interest in the F-16 of the Israeli
Air force of the F-16's in the Israeli Air Force then you will find this book to
be an interesting addition to your reference library. I look forward to
seeing the other books in this series as they are released. You can purchase
this book from the IsraDecal
website.
